On the 19th of July 1944 the furniture factory
“Rodina” was founded – the only furniture enterprise in Minsk. The production of the simplest
furniture, such as school and office desks, counters for trading organizations,
dining tables, wardrobes, was arranged within the shortest possible time.
In 1952 it was decided to reconstruct and expand the
factory “Rodina”, for that purpose by a solution of Minsk City Executive
Committee a 4.6 hectare
plot of land has been allocated.
In 1963 the self-supporting experimental engineering and manufacturing
furniture office EKTBM was set up on base of Minsk furniture factory “Rodina”. In 1971 by
the Ministry of Forestry and Wood Industries BSSR decision EKTBM was
reorganized in furniture design and production association, and in 1975 it
became Minsk Scientific and Production Furniture Association.
In 1997 Minsk Scientific and Production Furniture Association
was transformed into a public joint-stock company "Minskproektmebel".
Minsk furniture is well known among not only Belarusian consumers, but
also abroad. The public joint-stock company “Minskproektmebel” is constantly
expanding trade area for its products. The company's management is ready to
discuss new mutually beneficial projects and is inviting a reliable business
partners for cooperation.
The main
products of the company – is the furniture for various functional applications
(nightstands, commodes, cabinets/wardrobes, tables, beds). The furniture is
made of chipboard, reveted with natural veneer birch or oak from the array.
German hardware is used in the goods, finishing is made by the German water-based lacquer applying modern German equipment.
The public joint-stock company “Minskproektmebel” caters its furniture to Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Germany.
